• 2022: Arts Council of Northern Ireland (ACNI), Creative Individuals Recovery Programme
• 2021: ACNI  Individuals Emergency Resilience Programme 2 
• 2019: Poetry Ireland Tyrone Guthrie Centre Mid Career Bursary.
• 2017: Arts Council of Northern Ireland – General Art Award Scheme.

I was awarded a grant under the SUPPORT FOR THE INDIVIDUAL ARTIST programme towards the costs of completing a draft of my first novel.

• 2017 Irish Writers Centre: One to One Mentoring award. I was one of five Northern Irish writers offered a mentoring opportunity by an established novelist. This award was supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

• Fellowship for the Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers, Scotland, 10th January – 6th February 2010.
• Joint first in the Cúirt New Irish Writing award, Galway, Ireland, 2008.
• Prizewinner in Samhain International Poetry Competition, Donegal, Ireland, 2004.

• Nomination by Poetry Ireland as Best Emerging Writer at the International Poetry Now Festival in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, 2003.

• Support for the Individual Artist Award 2002 (Arts Council of Northern Ireland).
